Albums are ranked are a 10 point scale using the following criteria and ratings:

• Average Song Rating – 70%
• Total Listens Per Song / Average Number of Listens to Songs from that Year – 15%
• Total minutes spent listening to album – 15%

Long play (LP) or Album is defined by having either:

• 7 or more songs
• total time greater than or equal to 30 minutes

Extended Play (EP) is defined by:

• Not being an LP
• and having 4 or more songs

If not LP or EP, the collection is considered a single.
